How WealthAura calculations work

WealthAura provides transparent planning tools, not lender quotes, payslips, tax filings, investment advice or bank maturity certificates. Each calculator explains its formula and assumptions next to the result so you can check whether the model fits your situation.

Formulas and examples

EMI uses a reducing-balance monthly-payment formula. SIP uses a fixed monthly contribution with a stated monthly return assumption. GST adds or removes the selected rate from a price. Salary separates CTC, employer costs, payroll deductions and the selected tax model. FD uses compound-interest maths with the selected compounding frequency. Examples use the same implementation as the calculator, rather than hand-calculated promotional figures.

Rounding and edge cases

Calculations retain precision until amounts are displayed in Indian currency. Where a zero rate has a clear mathematical outcome, the calculators use that outcome rather than dividing by zero: an EMI becomes equal principal instalments, a SIP value equals total contributions, and FD maturity equals principal. The EMI schedule clears the remaining balance in its final instalment.

What the models do not cover

Real-world results can differ because of payment dates, lender rounding, changing loan rates, fund performance, employer payroll structures, bank product terms, tax changes, GST classification and transaction facts. Use a calculator to understand the maths, then confirm an important amount with the relevant lender, bank, employer or authority.

Changing rules and sources

The salary calculator identifies its assessment year in the interface and keeps its tax assumptions in a central rule set. Its AY 2026–27 model references the Income Tax Department guidance for applicable individual returns, recorded in the project as verified on 2026-08-23. GST pages deliberately do not determine rates or legal treatment; check official GST/CBIC guidance for a specific supply.

Corrections and maintenance

Calculator formulas, examples and explanatory guides are reviewed when the implementation or a relevant stated assumption changes. If you find an unclear explanation, a broken link or a possible calculation issue, contact WealthAura with the inputs and result you observed. This helps keep the tools useful without claiming professional financial credentials.
